What's On Your Desk? Wednesday # 846

Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW,  now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.

Thought I woukd give you a different view of my craft room. This is taken sitting at my computer looking away from the window towards my standy uppy desk which is currently up. As you can see it is pretty crammed.

The black box has cards to be filed away, behind it is the prep for my craft class next Friday (ahead for once) and at front right is a pile of canvas bags and totes - I hope to prep some today for stamping and decorating as I have a craft fair the day after I come back from holiday in September.

Fun not.

A selection of cards made at Craft Club yesterday. As usual all bits n bobs from my WIPs box. Need a bit of bling here and there. Numbers are dropping fast (as the age goes up) and soon we may not be able to meet the rent but not sure what to do about it. It's my little quiet space on a Tuesday afternoon and I always get something done.

I know it's only been a week but feel like I have got more done without pending commissions taking up my headspace. Definitely the way forward!

Little Splodge is coming over LATE tonight as parents both have early starts and I am not prepared to get up at 5 am. Hopefully he  settles straight to sleep and then we have him until Friday.

Finally another finished piece from that craft retreat. Loved making this one but really need to find him a little display space. Doesn't help that open windows have meant half the content of my display shelves have ended up on the floor. Another job.

Have a lovely week, will try to get some photos of Splodge for next week, been a little remiss lately.

Love and hugs,

Cindy xx

Wnat's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #845

Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW,  now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.

Had Lionel for Thursday and Friday last week with a lovely Nonna stopover (only drawback is the waking up at 6 o'clock!!). It was a friend's birthday on Saturday so a bunch of us went over for afternoon tea and later on to the pub. Long day, I was knackered so quiet Sunday and Monday though we did manage to order a sofa at long last - looks like the downstairs reno will be finished in under a year - just!!

I actually had three orders come in for bespoke cards this last week and I turned them all down. Hope you are proud of me MaryAnne!!

Not much crafting getting done but I did get given a pile of stuff from someone who has given up crafting so it was fun to go through that and decide if I want  need any of it. Doubtful, but I've kept a few bits and trying to get rid of the rest at my  various craft groups. Here's a photo of my desk at Craft Club on Tuesday, I got 4 cards made up from my bits n bobs folder.

I have a friend over to craft today so cleared the decks yesterday and pulled out the projects we were working on last time she was here, It's gonna be pretty warm in my craft room though!! As a consequence I'll be late getting round -  and Lionel again tomorrow.

Have a good week, Love n hugs Cindy xx #

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #844

Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW,  now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.

Desk as always a pile of stuff to go away'. but here are some recent crafty makes.

Samples for Kraft class last Friday. Everyone loved making this.

60th Anniversary card commission. This really is the last one!!

Another project from my 'retreat' in May

Also a few pics of little Splodge who went to his first music festival with Mummy and some friends.

Unfortunately we are currently not on speaking terms as yesterday he got away from me whilst at the park. He was on his scooter and  I was trying to get him to put his helmet back on after being in the playground when he scooted off at great speed (he's a v confident scooter but was also helped by a slight gradient) straight out of the park gates and onto a busy road. I am sure the sight of an unfit 68 yr old woman legging it through the park yelling 'Lionel Stop' at the top of her lungs is one other park goers could have  done without. Thanks to a kind stranger who blocked him from going any further I did finally catch him up. It was about 500 yards I guess and the moment I realised there was no way I was catching up with him before he reached the park gates (he was moving way faster than me!!) was one I never want to repeat. Lionel was fine but I was close to cardiac arrest. Couldn't stop shaking! Still traumatised and I am never taking that scooter out of the house again. Not even sure I want to be in charge of Lionel at this moment but I expect I'll get over it. Enjoy your week everyone.
Having just re-lived that I need to go lie down in a darkened room. Again.
