What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 695

Morning deskers!! Wow, where did that week go? Huge apologies, hardly got round anyone last week, I seriously underestimated how much I had to do before my Macmillan Open House on Saturday and the Weds, Thurs and Fri just slipped away. By the time I found my feet on Monday it seemed better to start preparing for the following week!! Current total raised is £260. Anyhoo here's my desk Monday afternoon, getting ready for my card making friend (?) to come over Tuesday. (Only 5 cards required this month).

I have been delving into bags, folders and boxes again and it seems that despite my efforts this last year I still have a lot of unfinished projects to get through. So much so I now have another basket of everyday cards to make up (on the right) and a similarly full basket of Christmas themed cards to do (to the left). The flowers and BG pieces on the desk are from my little holiday back in May - quite why I stamped and cut so many of those flowers is a mystery to me now!! I discovered a big pile of stencils in with them as well - yikes!

I did get stuck in and made these. I'll add sentiments or inspirational words (!) later.

But everything is on the back burner now as its time to GET READY FOR THE CROP!!

I'm so excited I nearly wrote the whole post in capitals. Do let me know if you are coming too!!

HAPPY HAPPY WOYWW! Love n hugs,

Cindy xx

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #694

Good morning deskers. Finally back in the UK late Sunday evening after a lovely break in Benalmadena.  We ended up staying 2 more days due to French ATC striking. Rather than be stranded at an airport hotel for two days we moved to an apartment in Torremolinos for 2 nights as we had to vacate our villa. Actually got 2 1/2 days as we didn't have to leave this one unil time for our late flight. A little bit stressful, compounded by my phone refusing to connect to mobile data. So no app, no messages, no info......... Thank goodness for airbnb. And breathe......

Monday, of course, was the funeral, and I accomplished very little. By Tuesday I was feeling serious craft withdrawal (it's been 2 weeks!!) so for some reason started playing with a NBU skate die. Here is the proof on the desk.

The intention today - in between desking of course - is to finish making up these cards, tidy up and then sort all my card boxes out ready for my Macmillan Coffee morning this Saturday. My sister is coming over to help (or at least keep me focussed). I know quite a lot of cards haven't been bagged and priced so hopefully we'll crack through that as well as having a catch up.

So, why am I showing you my desk? Well it's our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop - WOYWW. Here's the link to the one responsible, the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and have a go yourself.

Have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #692

WOYWW? A big pile of clothes that's what - I'm packing my suitcase and by the time you read this I will be off to the airport. Wifi permitting I may not be round to visit you till Thursday/Fri unless we have lots of spare time at the airport!!

You may recall I challenged myself to use up my scraps before my holiday, which I have done. I made over 30 cards (some a little bit desperate hey ho but I always have a bargain box!!) Here are a few samples and styles.

Using up the butterflies left over from craft club

Loving these cute triangle layouts. All you need is 2 3.5" squares and any bits and bobs you have lying around.

Squares and rectangle LOs also a good go to for scraps

Various frankenpaper designs

Couldn't resist another squash card - you can tell by the slightly strange margins on the mats that I was really down to the wire with this paper!!

Don't know if I'll make it next week but  see you soon,

love n hugs Cindy xx
