What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #827

Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW,  now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady -Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.

Here's the desk. Not much has happened here this week but I do have something looming.

Oh the horror of the blank page.

I am in a swap, indeed have been in it for some time.

I have had this  'art journal' in my possession upward of six months.

Way upward.

I need to create a double page spread but have no idea where to start.

I need it done, I need it gone, I need some inspiration!!

The only prompt I have is it should be something uplifting/positive.

Given the state of the world that might be an ask.

So, gentle deskers, give me an idea, a prompt, a pithy quote,  a line of poetry ... something to spark my creativity!!

I meanwhile will continue to scroll through pinterest and get distracted by recipes for feta cheese or minced beef.

Have a lovely week,

love n hugs, Cindy xx

Oh dear Cindy, I think you need to get some colour on that page and then it won't be blank any more. I have lost a bit of interest at the moment so my journal pages, which have had to be done with a quote and a restriction of figures to be used, often begin with just a stencil hurriedly used to take the blankness away. . Have a whisk through my Thursday journal pages for quotes. You might find something that sparks the brain. I doubt it but at least it's an easy try.
Good luck

Hi Cindy normally I could think of something but I'm full of cold today and my brain is not working very well. I hate blank pages so the first thing I would do is either smoosh or brayer bright coloured ink on it or collage it with snippets of bright coloured paper. Splatter with paint , stencil texture and stamp with some lettering. Find something that makes you happy like pretty butterflies and flowers, stamp and cut them out and arrange then add the happy sentiment and it's done, just don't give it too much thought (which is what I do lol!) or it will never be done! Happy woyww, hugs Angela x9x

I like to start with a quote, and go from there. There are lots of great quotes on Pinterest, or just Google "uplifting quotes" and choose one. Then I like to choose a focal point image, and you're off! Good luck, Have a wonderful week, Lindart #17

Blank page syndrome 🙃 get that page covered with paint or collage, once you start the flow will kink in (hopefully). Happy WOYWW. Angela #13

Try something monochrome...
I just bought a blank page workshop - set of 10 lessons I think - produced by the wanderlust people. I have watched the first lesson so far!
Happy WOYWW! Susan #6

I would throw some colour onto the page, add some background stamping and /or stencilling then find a cool focal point Cindy. How about the quote - Creativity is intelligence having fun. Sorry again about not commenting last week - the visits were so quick. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah

Bet you’ve done it by now! I agree with the gals, get some colour down, maybe through a stencil, then words of uplift meant..oh boy. How about that reminder ‘be the change’ ? Deep, huh! I’m not at home or I would photo you a couple of my most inspirational stamp texts., but am fairly sure you’ll have stencilled and painted and cut and stuck by now, go you!

I hope you’ve found inspiration now, Cindy. It made me think of the film ‘Up!’
You could always doodle on a separate piece of paper and see what comes to mind.

Have a good week
