Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW, now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.
Back again after our little trip to Rome. As you can see my son and DiL Both completed their runs - a first for Ryan.
We had a very stressful 'journey' as BA had oversold the flight and we were put on standby - didn't even know we were going until 15 mins before take off. I felt quite ill on the flight and that lasted until we got home so although we got out in the daytime I was just too exhausted to go out. Didn't manage to hit all the main italian food groups (Pasta, pizza, gelato and tiramusu) but we gave it a shot.
We made it to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps- here's hubby right in front of Trevi. We accidently got there early (apparently it doesn't open till 11 - who knew?) and had no problem getting a photo and viewing the fountain (without paying or queuing).
We had booked a wine tasting event and that was very enjoyable. Didn't do a lot else really. Walked along the Tiber (the most boring river in the world) which was very pleasant and uncrowded!!
I seem to have been busy with gp stuff since we got back and haven't done much. The box of do it or bin it suff has been completed. Unfortunately I immediately filled it up and it's even worse than before!! Hre is my desk at craft club Tuesday afternoon. I was trying to use up these sweet characters from way back when using some random bits of card as there are only a few scraps of the original papers left.
Hope you all have a good week and a Happy Easter Weekend.
Love n hugs, Cindyxx

What glittery gold wraps - keeping them warm after the run I expect. Carb loading is best in Italy LOL! I have a photo sitting on the side of the Trevi fountain - pregnant with darling daughter at the time, with Dear Son on my lap. Memories that warm me. Sounds a lovely holiday and a real family one too! Happy on-time WOYWW!

Oh that must have been so stressful waiting for the flight, no wonder it knocked you for a couple of days. Congratulations to the youngsters on their achievement and to you for getting some good, non crowded pics of Rome! Well done on the sorting too but I know how these boxes refill behind your back!
Hugs and Happy Easter!

You poor thing that happened to us once and it's a nightmare so no wonder you felt so poorly afterwards. It makes things very stressful but they all do it, over booking as they know quite often people don't turn up so they still end up with a full plane. Pleased your son and Dil did so well. Wishing you a very happy woyww with hugs Angela x5x
Sorry to hear your trip was a little difficult - rather sounds like me travelling every time which is why I don't anymore! Glad you got to see son and DiL great gold wraps. Gentle Hugs Bj#6
Glad you made it to Rome - they are naughty over-selling the flight butI guess most of them do it.. Shame you weren't well whilst away, but glad you managed to embrace quite a lot, it seems. well done to the runners. Happy WOTWW, and Easter Helen #1
Well done to them both. How awful to be put on standby and worse to feel ill on the way back. Take care and happy Easter. Angela #8
Happy Belated WOYWW. Congrats to your son and DIL. Did they get to keep the gold wraps? Sorry that you had the stress of the overbooked flight and then feeling less than 100%. I struggle with city travel now - so don't think I will ever get to Rome. I occasionally go to London to visit an exhibition/museum, but that is about my limit. Loving that sweet character you were crafting with. Happy Easter. Ali x #11
What an interesting read today! I was thinking back to our last trip to the Trevi and think it was before it got so busy!!
Happy Easter and Happy WOYWW! Susan #10
Sorry for the generic comment, but I wanted to at least show my face before the next WOYWW comes around. Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
