What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #793

Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW which is now being hosted at Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.

Well, have I been feeling sorry for myself or what? We finally get some decent weather and I tweak my back (no idea how) and have been unable to do anything for the last two weeks. Plans cancelled left right and centre, couldn't  garden, couldn't stand, couldn't walk, couldn't go out, couldn't even do anything in my craft room. I did watch a lot of the Olympics. But I am feeling better now and nearly back to my normal almost functioning self.

I have nothing to show, the desk is pretty bare as the back went just after I'd had a tidy up day, so I have pulled out some gelli prints. Did these well over a  year ago. Can't quite think what they were for, some ambitious project I'm sure. Colours are nice.

So that's me checking in.

Hope you are all well. Love n hugs Cindyxx

Glad you are on the mend Cindy but most frustrating to be so immobilised. Love those gel prints - have fun playing with them. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah

I sympathise about the back. Have had back pain for years now (on and off) and funnily enough am sat in bed with a hot gel bottle on my back at the moment. Set it off cutting a piece of cake (the one Caro brought to the crop - well not that one but one I made last night). You must have been in a bad way if you could not stand, sit or anything. I sincerely hope it does not give you trouble later.
Guess you have not been able to play along with Splodge. He will have missed his gran and you most certainly missed him. Hope you get to make up time soon with him.
Love the prints. Now what are you going to do with them? Something that is less strenuous I guess. Look forward to seeing what you do.
Take care my lovely
Hugs (gentle ones) Neet 2 xx

Oh poor you, bad backs are so painful - I was with you in watching the Olympics as Covid put paid to me doing anything else either! Love the colours of the gelli prints, whatever it was they were for, lol!

Sorry to hear about your back, sometimes the slightest movement can trigger a bad back. Love the look of your gel prints. Hope you are soon back to normal. Happy WOYWW. Angela #14

Backs are wonderful things until they 'go' and it's usually something innocuous. I heard about a mountaineer that had to be rescued after putting his back out. He'd sat down for a chapati (good climbing food apparently) and it was a bit floury. It made him sneeze and his back went!! I have a muscle near my ribs that spasms with my wobbly joints & it popped out the other week after I was pretending to do a little gallop on a horse after we'd finished binge watching all three series of Bridgerton! I'd laugh but it would probably pop out again! I'm intrigued by the fodder on the bottom left - very yummy! Have a great week, Lisa-Jane #9 www.prettymypage.co.uk

So sorry about your back - maybe someone was telling you you needed a rest? I love your gelli prints. It's so much fun finding something you have squirreled away for a year! Have a great week, Lindart #16

There is nothing worse than hurting your back it's so painful but sounds like you're picking up again. Great collection of Gelli prints they certainly look as though you had something planned. I do this all ther time and can't think why I made them, we need to keep notes. Have a good woyww. Hugs Angela x12x

Aw Cindy you poor thing, backs are horrid when they go. I have a twinge in my left shoulder/back right now and thinking a visit to the osteopath is in order. Loving the gelli prints and there are 2 and a half weeks left in August for your steampunk challenge. Hugs BJ#9

Love all the patterns in the gelli prints.
My daughter had a pretty much identical problem with her back over the school holidays a couple of weeks ago. She came to us and the two weeks we had planned were a washout as she couldn't move. She is back at work now and much better...
My post was done on my phone and so ended up with several errors - notably a missing link. It is there now!
Happy WOYWW! Susan #3
