Apologies to everyone about last week. I just didn't get round due to visitors. And Lionel. And the fridge freezer breaking down.
You know, life.
Well this week I remembered it was Wednesday , but still here I am posting at lunchtime.....
I know it's constant excuses but I just can't seem to get a handle on life at the mo, the days just seem to slip away dealing with stuff. Another reason I didn't get round as planned was at the last minute I signed up to to the (Create with Your Stash) Card Making Summit run by Justine Hovey. It was pretty intense from 2.00 pm Friday until 2.00 pm Monday. 3 sets of 24hrs of content, videos and challenges. Even more if you paid the fee to unlock extra content and have lifetime access. Which I didn't do, mainly because I have paid for courses I haven't even opened yet. Each day's videos expired after 24 hrs. The time limit pushes me to get things done.
So I was very selfish, no cleaning. outings. shopping, cooking and very little communal TV watching for the best part of four days.
One day I never got out of PJs. But I had a great time, made lots of cards and have lots of ideas for more as I didn't manage to do it all. Broadly the focus was on using your stash, using sketches, papers, focal points, all in a variety of styles from cutesy to MM. There were several aha! moments. Also using colour and discussion of the colour cube.
Now I know I said no shopping this year but my will is weakening. I'm sure someone here has bought it/them (probably Angela?). Are they a good investment? Will decide when I get back from holiday so for now I need to finish a couple of cards and put my craft room away. I'm also sure someone was going to be in Tenerife in the same time frame (February) and we talked about meeting up? Was it this group? If it was give me a DM.
So here's a few things I did. Not sure if I will see you for the next four weeks. I will have time, but I may not have internet. Or inclination. Sorry.
So see you when I see you.
Love n hugs Cindyxx

Fabulous cards Cindy, your time was well spent! I am find this type of free course is just too much pressure for me. I think the colour cubes are a great tool, but too expensive to buy. To be honest I am not completely sure how you use them apart from ready made colour combinations. Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
Oh Tenerife sounds lovely, but sure not me :) The cards too are fab - I used to watch Justine (which is weird cause I really don't make a lot of cards) because she seems sensible, with a pleasing voice, and her card end up really nice seemingly without a massive amount of effort. Yours look wonderful and are so varied, which I love. I've never been one to mass make identical cards, I just like trying out techniques LOL!
Happy busy-day WOYWW!

Loving the card collection Cindy. I've got the colour cubes, bought them after I saw the ones the Sarah has and yes I think they are going to be a good investment but I got them when I was busy making Christmas cards and haven't really used them much yet but hoping to get back to them soon probably when I get back to some collage grids. Oh and Tenerife... not me, now skiing in France that's me! Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x10x
You made good use out of that intensive crafting time! Those cards are fabulous, love the colours. Hooray for PJ days, it is allowed occasionally lol! Hope you have a fab time in Tenerife meeting random strangers off the internet, oh wait, you’ve already done that at the Crops!

what great cards! I made a very quiet and silent vow not to shop this year...so this week Paperartsy had new releases...oops oh well . It wasn't me going to Tenerife but could it have been Julia when we were in Stoke? Happy WOYWW Helen #2
Super cards Cindy, love the little house one. Sounds like the Bible Conference I do each year. 3 days of insaneness but well worth the effort and the staying in PJs. Hugs BJ#3
Fabulous cards Cindy - a good variety of styles and techniques. Glad you enjoyed the courses. Nothing wrong with a PJ day. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah
