WOYWW # 173

Morning all. Home today so hope to do a good deal of WOYWW browsing. 'What's that?' I hear you ask (work with me here). It's a weekly bloghop organised by Julia Dunnit of Stamping Ground. There's loads of us, it's fun, you never know who you'll meet so get yourself on over there and join in.

So now for the main event. My workdesk.

Not too bad for me, I really have been trying to stay reasonably tidy and I have been getting a lot done this week. The WIPs have decreased quite a bit but will never, I fear, be completely dealt with. Still got a naked gravy pot, but that is now on my to do list. I was working on a Ruby Wedding card when I abandoned the desk last night and inspired by fellow WOYWWer Jennie at Ally Pally I have got my gilding flakes out (actually I have put them away again but you can see the results). You can also see new Paper Artsy stamps (more of those to come) and the packaging from some new embossing folders and, if you look very hard a new leaf border mask. I have lots of other new toys that haven't been used yet - but I have plans!!

Had a great day at Ally Pally on Sunday although I am not entirely sure I like the new venue. Had the great pleasure of meeting up with May just to say 'hi' - and for us there was no need to wear a rose in our lapel or carry a rolled up copy of Craft Stamper as we both wore our WOYWW badges with pride. Great fun. Happy WOYWW everyone.

Took e a minute to realise WIP was not an illness but work in progress. Doh! shows where my head is at the moment.
Love your storage at the back of your desk, was it custom made? Also must remark on the pictures hanging from your baskets, they look lovely.
Mmmm, need to investigate the new PA stamps and the embossing folders.
Thanks for sharing (and tempting me to buy), Hugs, Neet #5 xx

Morning Cindy. What fun to meet up with May. I must remember to wear my badge when I go to my next craft event. I love that bit after the show when you sit on your sofa surrounded by bags of goodies whilst your feet and shoulders recover and then tip them all out to see the treasures you managed to buy! PS I think your bin needs emptying!! WOYWW Hugs to you from Helen 83

Love your space with pens and pads to hand. I kept a gravy tub for ages and was going to make a Xmas tea light holder with it (battery type) but never did so I binned it.

Hi Cindy ~ I followed your link from a comment you left for Lisa-Jane and I had a lovely time looking at all the fun stuff on your workdesk! It looks very similar to mine at the moment, although I haven't blogged about it. Sweet blog you have here! :o)

Lovely crafty desk Cindy! I didn't go to AllyPally this time as I went to the Bluewater one a couple of weeks ago. One time though, I WILL meet up with you there. Glad you met a fellow WOYWWer xxx

Wow, you are a busy, busy lady. I got my gilding flakes out last week and then did nothing with them, I think I should revisit them. You ladies are lucky to run into one another. I think my group needs a long distance field trip. If we'd quit spending money on dies we might just be able to afford the trip... argh....I'd have withdrawals. I'm off to look around your blog...I saw a tag that is beautiful! I'll see you in blogville.

Gilding Flakes sounds like a character out of Jane Austen!!

'My word, Mr Gilding Flakes...what jolly tight breeches you're wearing today....'

Sorry, carried away again :D

Such a fabulous desk full of creativity and crafting goodies! Great storage with everything just to hand, and the WIP (which also took me a while, so Neet's not the only one!) is looking good! Thanks so much for your visit, and happy WOYWW!

Naked gravy pots indeed, whatever next!! I'd love to see all your new goodies together in one post, and I agree with Helen about surrounding yourself with your new goodies too. I think that's why I've left all those winnings out on the table! No1 this week was a complete fluke! I had dyed my hair and was sitting at the computer instead of on the sofa, and realised it was 8pm but Julia didn't post. It was 8:27 and I was going to wash my hair and thought I'd just hang on to 8:30, just in case!!

There seems to be an issue with this darn blogger again tonight. If you get 10 posts from me delete all but the best!!! ;-) Just said I love the shelving at the back of your desk and was wondering if it was custom or something I can purchase here in the states. I love it! Thanks for sharing and stopping by for a visit! Vickie #87

The desk is looking good in my opinion--just the right amount of space and clutter to make it fun. I have so many WIPs that I could never start a new project and be set for the rest of the year I bet.

I love the way that Ruby card turned out, the colours are fab! I made a pen pot out of a naked gravy tub like that and I still love it. It sits on my window filled with paper clips.
