What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #299

What, no blogging for a week? Whatever have I been doing – honestly I don’t know, I hope I was enjoying myself. But it’s Wednesday, and I’m home for most of the day so here’s my desk.

I was at a candle party the other night and took along some cards and someone asked me to make this 80th card – it’s a bit boring, I probably should have got a better brief but it only took me a fe minutes.(The joys of pc crafting!!). I made a matching insert to beef it up a bit as it seemed very simple - still, does what it says on the packet.

All the flowers from last week have been used and I will post what I did at some stage but keeping it short today. If you want to know more about WOYWW then go here and all will be explained.

Happy WOYWW!!

A lovely, simple, bold card for a man, Cindy. Very effective.

Thank you so much for your lovely encouraging comment just in time for my surgery. You are very sweet with such kind words!

No sense knocking simple if it works and this card definitely works.

I got something interesting and unexpected in the mail yesterday. I think I even screamed once I opened it. What a wonderful fabulous surprise! Now I have no excuse to not try Tim tags... after all I have inspiration in hand!!!! Thank you so much! It was the perfect way to cap off the day!! Judy #67

I think it is a great card. Is that a die cut or a pre made one of the wine bottle??? I have really been looking for something like that, even a stamp would work.

Thanks for the comment, I'm still on the fence about the daisies.

Great card, I've not done any digi crafting (mainly cos I still haven't sorted my printer, but I am not sure I would anyhow...) Off to Stevenage stash buying on Sunday cos I don't have much (enough)!! Helen #5

Hi again Cindy. As to the orchids.... I simply cut the stalk back to the bottom (almost!) if there are no "nodules" on them, if there are likely looking things which seem to be buds, I cut down to below one of those. I don't water them a huge amount, but I do use orchid food when watering. They like to live in a bark type of compost stuff. You can get both of those from a garden centre.... Hope that helps your orchid survive. I have had some flower continuously with the same flowers for nearly 18months. That does rather tend to male them die then, as they literally flower themselves to death.. boo hoo.
Take care. God bless.

Hi Cindy - thanks for visiting me! You wondered about the text on my photos. I use a free copy of Picasa3 - awesome program! Will not only put text on your photos, but will fix them, crop them, and make them all kinds of funky if you want! Just Google Picasa3! Lindart #59
