What's On Your Workdesk - Wednesday #566

First - I truly hope you and yours are all well, safe at home and have everything you need. For those on their own this must be so tough - I'm trying to touch base regularly with those I know in that position but hey, I'm never far from the pc, FB or my phone. Let me know if you need to be on my list.
Second - I miss hugs. I'm a hugger. I like being hugged. I still hug my hubby and son who are here with me 'in lockdown' but we have cut down. Just in case. But I really miss hugging.
Third - . what gives with the passage of time? I don't know if it's because I've essentially been practising for this for the last two years but I don't seem to have any more time than before even though I don't leave the house. The only thing that has changed is that maybe I'm only a week behind rather than 2, and Wednesdays are careering round just as fast as ever!! Or is it just me?

OK, let's get down to business. No time for a staged desk, it's a train crash. But a lovely last minute easter card kinda train crash. Bunnies everywhere. So that's what I'm doing today, I have already sent a load out (I had a lot in stock - no craft fairs this year!!) but time for a couple more today.

The little card on the right is for my daughter-in-law to be who is a GP based nursing assistant working in the community and care homes helping out with all the stuff that is still going on. So proud of her and everyone else doing their bit, and I know both the young lovers are missing each other desperately. I put the image on because it really reminded me of her but it is from a free digi set by 'tiddlyinks' - could be useful for anyone doing any 'thank you' cards for nhs staff.

So, must dash, it's nearly 12 already and now the sun is trying to tempt me into the garden!!

Why am I telling you this? Because it's WOYW Wednesday, the day when we go for a wander around the desks of the great and the good courtesy of the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground. Pop on over and join in why don't ya?

Stay home, stay safe, stay well. Happy desking!!

Hi Cindy, I have had to stop hugging my son even though he lives with us. He works nights as a care assistant on a dementia ward locally and I don't want to pass or catch anything from him even though none of us have any symptoms. Love the card and will have to investigate the image as both my sisters work in the NHS. Happy Easter. Stay safe and happy WOYWW. Sarah #5

Well, that's a lovely cheery post today - there's nothing like Easter eggs and bunnies to make you feel better....apart from gin maybe, but that was done yesterday, lol! Kudos to your future DiL, workers like her are indispensable and we are all so grateful.
I miss hugs too - so here's a virtual one from me.

Hi Cindy. They are lovely cards. Well done. I so agree - Wednesdays do seem to come round awfully fast! Your future DIL is a star. She is, among thousands of others, doing a fantastic job - May God keep them safe, protect and strengthen them for this herculean task.
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

Yeah, hugs. You just don’t know how often you hug and touch till you don’t, huh! I agree about the time...also, my capacity for spending has disappeared, we might be in profit by the time this is over. Except if we are, it won’t last long, I shall booking a week away!! Bart has worked ( he works alone anyway), so the shape of most of my days has been similar, but it doesn’t stop me wondering where the day has gone! love the little digi on the card for Annie, it’s hard for them to be apart, and she’s doing an amazing thing. Well done with the Easter cards - all this time and I haven’t even given them a thought! Your desk doesn’t look like a train crash to me...it’s quite tidy!!

From one hugger to another - nothing like a hug is there - whether gentle or a bit less so (like a bear hug) they are lovely and to me there is nothing like a hug from a little child, it says it all.
My words Cindy, that is a hive of industry you have there and now I know where my lovely bunny card was made - and the book! Thank you, they did bring me some joy and still are. I am so chuffed to have them. Lovely cards, especially the one for your dil, she will love it I am sure and be so proud of what you have made for her.
Have a lovely Easter, hope the sun shines and you get lots of Easter Bunnies running around your garden with their eggs for you to find.
Stay safe and well,
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

I sure am noticing things that I miss that I’ve been taking advantage of in the past. It’ll be interesting to see how much the world changes once things go back to normal. Or will they go back to normal? Great desk! Take care. Dorlene #33

Hi Cindy, lovely cards and I couldn't agree more about sending a little thank you to our Health care workers and all the people on the frontline (cashiers to freight drivers) all doing their part to keep us going. At the end of this we will all have to have a virtual hug. Stay safe and in a blink of an eye it will be Wednesday.

Oh Cindy, I'm another hugger too! It seems such a shame that hugging is not allowed any more, except for family members! I agree about the passage of time. It is racing away. Not that my lifestyle is particularly different from usual because I'm always at home anyway. I love your magnificent train wreck of a desk! Lots of fabulous activity going on there - you are clearly keeping really busy!

Thank you for your visit, and for your lovely comments about my mandalas and the kitties. I am glad you are setting up a WhatsApp video conference with the family. Our Zoom one was a great success. We'd be a lot worse off without the technology, wouldn't we.

Keep safe, keep well and happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Cindy! Those of us with gardens and families around are the lucky ones. For us, life hasn't changed that much at all, but I feel for people who are trapped in flats or who are lonely as a result of the lock-down - but the main thing is that we all keep safe. Love your delightful Easter projects and thanks so much for visiting on Wednesday - I ran out of time and couldn't visit you back sooner but I'm here now to say Happy Easter! Keep safe - hope you can go back to hugging people real soon! I'm not such a big hugger myself but I really enjoyed hugging all the WOYWWers last year LOL! xx zsuzsa #16

Yes, totally with you on this, I am a hugger too! Thank goodness for video calls as it means I can at least see my mum and brother over the screen, not the same though.

Keep safe
