What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #565

Wednesday again. Not even sure the weeks are flying any more, just trudging on!! Still it's time to show our desks for the weekly wander that is WOYWW so here is mine:

At the back we have a few tiles and alcohol ink kit - want to have another go at that soon. The flying birds are remnants from a class - I don't know why I ended up with so many so I thought I would make them into bookmarks. The box is next on my list. It is full of bits I have had for over 10 years so it is time for it to be used or re-filed in the bin. Out of shot is the first of my WIP boxes that I have been working to empty - only 1 thing left in that, hopefully I'll get to that today. There are however about 4 more. Plus Christmas. Plus endless unstarted projects. I guess with all this time I'll find out how much I really want to do them!!

Not so much gardening this week as it has been a tad colder (I don't do cold) but today looks a little more promising. It really is looking lovely. I've also done a video this week for my business page (the camera set up is hilarious) and might attempt a FB 'live' this afternoon. I have to say we took part in a FB live pub quiz last night with our local church and it did not go well - tad exhausting as we were also trying to work with our usual team via whatsapp. Might have to look at zoom for next time. We did not do well.

So far we are all happy and healthy, but every little sniff or cough has us anxiously grabbing the anti-bac. And as I cough all the time that's quite often!! Hope everyone is keeping safe and well and thank you all those who are still working in any capacity, but especially of course our wonderful NHS.

Why not join in and let us know what you are up to this week? Join in at The Stamping Ground and take a wander - we aren't going anywhere.

Hi Cindy. Looks like you have enough to keep you going for a while. I like the idea that if you get an unstarted project out and you put it away again unstarted after 10 years, maybe you don't want it after all! Hmmm... need to think that one through whilst looking in my cupboards!!
Take care. Stay safe. God bless.

You have lots to be getting on with which is good for keeping you busy! This period of madness is at least giving us permission to craft as much as we like without feeling guilty. The though of the online pub quiz made me smile, I think I'd have ended up getting a bit frustrated!

Hi Cindy, it is something amazing that despite lockdown, thanks to technology we can still get involved and keep in touch! Can you even imagine how awful it would have been, even just 30 years ago? Love the cards with the birds, I think I have that, it's a Clarity stamp, isn't it? Stay safe and have a good week,Hugs, Shaz #7 X

Normally visit desks in order to avoid missing any but am taking my lunch break - your comment did make me laugh. I am at least getting dressed every day but make up has gone by the way (never wore a lot anyway) - pjs would be one slip too far - time for that down the line a bit! take care, stay safe . I don't do "cold gardening" either - hopefully the weather here is going to be warmer by the weekend still too cold here today. I have never done a "live" - my hubby does them quite a bit . Take care and Keep safe Soojay#21

Hi ya Cindy I too worry at the slightest cough being a carer I have to be extra careful you take care of yourself & carry on getting through those boxes, your right this extended time for ourselves will sort the wheat from the chaff for sure. I think we all have projects, wip's n ufo's that will never be complete. I so want to get back in my garden.
Thanks for sharing WoywW Tracey #25

HI Cindy, yep I can totally see that. ( it's allergy season here and so, I have this now huge fear that I better not no matter what sneeze in public) and my friend at work is that way with the coughing as she takes some medication that the side effect is a dry cough so, she is rolling her eyes and then washing her hands raw after just in case.
Hopefully the online sharing will work it self out for you guys soon.
Love that you are working through your ufo boxes too. :) ~Stacy #29

Hi Cindy, I've been full of cold for nearly a week but no symptoms of the dreaded C Virus but certainly got through lots of paper hankies. Now is definitely a good time to sort out all those UFO's. If you're like me I need the space apart from anything else. Take care and have a lovely woyww and a happy creative week, Angela x18x

Looks like a lot of interesting WiP and the box of potentials sounds great. The occasional sore throat is enough to send me into a panic at the moment. Stay safe and hope the sun comes out for you to garden.

You seem to have a plan Miss Cindy, I’m not engulfed by UFOs but have procrastinated myself into thousands of unstarteds! That box will only take a day to conquer. She coughed. I spent two hours and a dozen card blanks using up scraps yesterday and the scraps box shows no impact at all. I could be immersed for a very very long time! I’m not good at cold either, my sympathy for your Tenerife break, bummer isnt it. I’ve got replies who want to stay in touch on Skype, Messenger Video, Zoom...am barely coping with all the options. How great is that!!

I love the fact that everyone is trying to carry on normal life virtually, even if it takes a bit of experimenting to get it right. We are learning great new skills at the moment. I wonder whether so many people will go back out to work when all this is over or whether we will continue to work from home more.
I know what you mean about going into over drive about every cough and sneeze. DD has tonsillitis at the moment and we absolutely flipped out when she started to feel unwell, taking her temperature every few minutes and quizzing her like MI5. She's feeling very sorry for herself but at least it's something she's had before and we can deal with.
Take care and enjoy your week

It looks as if you've got plenty to keep you busy, Cindy. I just wish I could summon up enough energy to get on with my UFOs. The trouble is, the lockdown isn't altering my life very much because I'm always at home anyway! The bonus is that my hubby is here all the time too, when usually he's gadding about all over the place and most days I don't see him for dust!!

Keep safe and well, and happy belated WOYWW,

Hi Cindy, sorry for the late visit. I have been deliberating instead of crafting today. Finally made up my mind what to do next, which is leave it till tomorrow and read my new Warrier Cats book :) Stay safe and have a great weekend x Angela #22

Since everybody started posting about how much they are doing - cleaning, baking, crafting - I seem to be doing less. I certainly am not crafting as much and cannot believe it is Friday evening (late) and I am trying to play catch up on woyww.
Thankfully no sign of colds or anything here yet, although hay fever is around the corner and it will come and then panic will no doubt set in.
Like you I have lots of ufo's - but then I went and sent for more stuff to decorate and I honestly have enough to keep me going for a year or two. I really don't need anything else. Do you think it is boredom that made me spend? That is my excuse and I am sticking to it.
Thanks for joining in with the #Cheers - its always good to see artwork and FB is the place to share it, much better than soe of the gloomy stuff we read on there.
Stay safe and well
Hugs, Neet 2 xx

Looks like you are another crafter with plenty to keep you occupied during this lockdown. I laughed at 10 years I have been in Spain over 20 years now and still have things in boxes I haven't opened!! Ani #1
