Thursday, 9 April 2009

Well, the long Easter weekend has finally arrived and if you are anything like me you have spent a lot of time this week out in the garden - it has been glorious!! This is a favourite time of year, as the garden starts to unfurl and everything is so full of promise - usually all goes to pot for this weekend but you never know!!

For the April giveaway I decided on a change of pace and this month's item should (hopefully) appeal to those among you who like a touch of vintage. As regular readers will know, I have been making a daily art card for a year and to vary things a bit I have occasionally made some 4 x 4 journal pages. I have put together 8 of these pages to make a little book (well I really did have to try out that bind it all I got for Christmas!!). They are all of vintage children and if you would like to see what you are getting you can look at the complete set on my flickr album here.
So if you would like to own 8 little pieces of art (lol) all you have to do is leave a comment on this post between now and 8.00 pm on Monday 20th April. The winner will be announced on the 21st.

I do hope a few new people will join in, so please feel free to advertise on your own blogs. Meanwhile, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Easter.

Cindy xx

Happy Easter!
Much too chilly here to do any gardening still, but the sun is bright and things are looking up!
I am so in love with that altered journal. My favorite page is the Inspire one - that sweet girl with her schoolbooks is so adorable!.

I can hardly believe you are giving this away. I'd be so delighted to be in the drawing, with a chance to receive it. Our gardening has not gotten much of a start yet, as the cold nights persist, but I think that by mid-week, things will be settling down. I have bulbs coming up and lots of daffodils blooming (I keep cutting more to put on the kitchen table). tulips will soon be open. I'm looking forward to having my own garden to tend this year. Thanks Cindy. Happy Easter.

Happy Easter
I wish I was able to do some gardening. Your photos look glorious. It has been continually wet here and my veggie patch looks woeful. I was hoping to clean up and start my winter plantings but it will have to wait until everything isn't slush.
Your journal is gorgeous how can you possibly part with it. Linda

Hi Cindy, thank you so much for visiting my blog and your lovely comment :)
Spring comes a lot earlier in Britain than it does here in Canada, but I never knew this growing up there. I don't any plants growing yet, and it is still quite chilly, you are so lucky.
I love your journal, please do enter me in your giveaway. I am in Canada though, so if that's no good for you I understand too.

Hi Cindy, this book is beautiful - I too got a bind-it-all for Christmas, but have only managed to make one little notebook for a friend. This is truly inspirational for me as is all of your work :)
