What’s On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, #271

Morning Deskers!!

Well. I am not exactly ashamed of todays desk as there is evidence of crafting. However I think I will entitle my offering today ‘What happens when you get involved with lots of projects at once and keep going onto the next thing without finishing the first or putting anything away’. I’m sure we’ve have been there. (And I don’t need to know if you haven’t).

First we have the window desk. I have been making sunflowers. You can’t see very well but that little guy is kinda cute. What may not be obvious to you is that there are still stamps, dies and paints on the desk from finished projects. I am in fact working on top of my dies that are attached (fortunately) to a magnetic sheet when they should be filed away. This of course is how one loses things.

IMG_1389[1]  Second desk, well it has been a flower frenzy this week. You can see all the detritus from the sunflower making and some of the other flowers I have been faffing around with. Yet to find a project for most of them and loath to put them away – out of sight out of mind so to speak. My gorgeous LLJ tote on the bag of the chair – still unpacked from a crafty sess at Mum’s on Monday.

Oh goodness just spotted dies ON THE FLOOR. Helen would feel right at home. Really need to tidy up I think, this is just about as messy as I can bear.

So that’s me this week, pop over to Stamping Ground to link your desk or just to find out what I’m on about. Say ‘hi’ why don’t ya. Whatever you do, have a great Wednesday.

Haha that title would suit me 90% of the time. Only I have to clean up after as I'm crafting on the dining table. And yes, I do sometimes craft on top of other things, and do have things lying on the floor (because my desk is full and I want to have it near). I also sometimes like to make more then I need for a project, just because it's so much fun to make. I'll think of another project to use them on later... (And so, another box with "things for projects" is filled and stacked on top of the other boxes with "things for projects").
Even when my project is to use things for projects I end up with lovely scraps.
So I just keep on crafting...

You can't stop an artist in mid creation to tidy up, you are clearly making soem wonderful stuff, those flowers look gorgeous.
But 'yes' putting the dies away when you have finished with them is just good sense as they are expensive and it is frustrating when they go missing.

Love the chaos Cindy - my space was like this over the weekend, as I had lots of things to finish. Always very rewarding to tidy after - especially when you find a missing item (this happens to me A LOT) Cx #68

I think it's wonderful to see a desk so busy... except when it's my shared desk with my daughter!
There's lots to drool over and it's fantastic that you've got so many projects on the go.
Gorgeous cards... the flowers are fantastic.
Happy crafting and WOYWW

Dies on the floor, not a good thing. They'll be lost in the great abyss in no time down there. Great looking flowers you are making. You'll find a suitable project for them. Of that, I have no doubt. Judy #73

I have the same problem.... projectitis..... too many things on the go at once ....variety is the spice and all that. but actually I do like to put my dies away... that's a financial thing you see .... they are expensive and I don't like loosing them.
lovely flowers, very summery

I am another with multiple projects on the go at one time. Hence my usual state of chaos. Thank you for your visit tonight and those lovely comments. These particular projects are very much in the style that i really love. Hope you have a good week. xx Maggie #76

Oh, it's really great to know that the tote is doing sterling service! I love that fabric, it has been my outright favourite of the year. The combination is gorgeous...I may have to make myself one out of what's left!
That sunflower is sooooo cute! Was it very tricky to make? And what are you going to use it for? I have a soft spot for those flowers, they're so cheerful!
We'll have to mark out a crafting space on the hall floor at the next WOYWW, if you carry on in that vein!!!

SUCH a great desk. Yep - so many things on the go. I envy people who can start, work thru, then finish ONE thing. My UFO box is out of control....

Hi Cindy,

Love the sunflower that you've made. Like you, I'm not quite sure what I'll do with the flower I made in the Art Journaling class I took with Dyan. Guess I just might glue it onto one of my pages.....

I haven't played much on my new desk space so it hasn't really gotten messy yet -- oh but it will, I promise!

Thank you for visiting me already.
Happy WOYWW

Gorgeous flowers and how nice to craft just for the pleasure of making something you like. Had a giggle over the dies on the floor and yes I thought of Helen as well.

I know the feeling of many projects on the go - and more than many in the head waiting to be started.
I look forward to seeing your flowers being used - on cards, books or whatever.
Hugs and Thanks for visiting me whilst I was in deepest Wales, with no signal, hence the lateness of blogging now.

Well, Cindy, when it is all happening, you just have to keep going, don't you?! You'll get around to the tidying eventually. In fact, it now being the following Tuesday - you are probably already all tidied up and done loads more!!
Thanks for visiting - yes, I agree, manic is fine - for a season... Now ready for a complete collapse - but still have the wedding card to make... Can show the first photos next week.
Take care. God bless.
