What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday # 189

Hello everyone, it's Wednesday again - how the weeks fly!

Here's my desk this week, a little valentine project on the go today.

A different type of flower (with the button) on show today as well as some of shabby ones I made last week. Fairly tidy for me (if you ignore the box of stamps to be cleaned)

I also thought I'd share my new ribbon storage idea - after years of having them all in different boxes that exploded every time I looked for a piece of ribbon I decided to clear out two of my desk drawers and do this. It may not seem that big a deal but for me it's right up there with putting my DI blending pads on velcro. Can actually see what I've got and the messy bit can be rummaged through without everything going on the floor. Much better.
Anyhow I've shown you mine, will you share yours? If you want to join in with this week's nosy shennanigans then hop on over to Julia's blog and put your name down. You never know who will come and visit!!

Thanks for your visit today, Cindy. The Clarity half price sale is only open to members of the Clarity Club. It is well worth joining. You get a new stamp every month together with projects to do with them and a lovely chatty newsletter from Barbara Gray, and 10% off all orders. There are also 2 half price remountable stamp sales each year. Well done for getting at least part of your stash re-organised. xx Maggie #37

Love the flowers and the ribbon organisation. I keep my ribbon in embroidery thread boxes, wrapped around card bobbins - sorted by colour, I'll take a pic so you can see. Happy WOYWW. Cx

Love the ribbon but was confused by the mention of drawers because they appeared to be suspended - then I realised the picture was sideways.... Have a good day! Helen, 10

You can tell it's January, we are all tidying/sorting & organising, lol. We all know too that it won't actually last very long, but it's the thought that counts, right? Have a great week, Hugs Shaz xx#65

It's funny, everyone seems to be having a bit of spring clean at the moment, bar me! LOL.... Perhaps I should go away and consider it carefully.

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have a good week.

When you visited my blog you inquired about the big white thing...I think you are referring to my photo box. Love that thing although it takes a lot of room!

Just looking at your previous post which is gorgeous, and the work you've got on the go looks as though it is going to be equally lovely. If you want to see the flower tutorial, type in...hand made flowers pinkaboo6691. I used a slightly different petal shape, but once you see the basic principal you will be able to adapt it to suit the supplies you have thanks for the visit x

I'm intrigued with all our flowers, but particularly the shabby ones....they are yummy. Congratulations on the ribbon drawers!!!! I so understand the frustration of not being able to find what you want, exactly when you want it!! I'd love to see your Valentine's project when it's done...subtle, okay, not so subtle hint! Have a great week.

Well that's all looking very neat and tidy and VERY desirable to me!
Thanks so much for your message and I'll be posting full info re LillyBo quilts in a day or two so take a read and maybe something will give you an idea of how you can help. Maybe make some little cards to go with each one as someone else has offered to make tags to go with them. We'll think of something.

great looking desk and post today! I used to keep my ribbon in a drawer until I got too many and now hanging them on the wall is my way of sorting them out! My excuse for so many is that they don't spoil and except for a few "trendy" ribbons they never go out of style! Thanks for sharing and I and hoping you have a great week! Vickie #43

Great idea for the ribbon storage, Cindy! I like to keep mine cornered, too. They too often get unruly, otherwise. Thanks for coming by the Playhouse and for the anniversary wishes! I'm returning the flavor and making my slowly around the WOYWW world. Have a wonderful week! Darnell #64
