Is once a week regular??

Don't answer that!! I did say I was going to be here more often but come on, look at the weather..... the garden has to take priority and we have a big project we are undertaking in the back garden. Here's is a pic of my son whose been helping his dad (in itself a minor miracle). They have just taken down one of the bay trees which I grew from some free cuttings (sob!!)and trained into standards. They are so big (about 8-9') if we had been able to get them out of the ground and into a pot they would have been worth a fortune. But they have to go, hubby wants a bigger pond and I need somewhere to put the dryer.

Still I guess you don't want to hear about all that but of course grubbing around in the dirt all day (with a well deserved bottle of wine at the end of it of course) means that not a lot of crafty stuff has got done. As ever, my planning is perfection (ie things are done in advance) but the follow through leaves a lot to be desired (ie things that should have been posted already are still sitting on my desk).

So firstly here are my entries for the stamp man monthly ATC challenge, for which the theme is 'Birds'.

and here is a birthday card for a friend which is for Wednesday... better get that one in the post!!

Quick reminder just one more week to enter this month's giveaway. Click on the picture on the right to go to the relevant post.

One (or two!!) Challenge tags

Bit late posting both of these challenge entries but I honestly don't know where this week has gone - a familiar cry I know, but I have been crafting (well, after a fashion) prepping my kids craft activities for work. Anyhow let's not dally as I have to go and get ready for work in a few minutes.

First is a tag which was supposed to be an entry for the Sunday Stampers 'Blue' challenge - how mad am I that I made this on Monday and have missed the deadline. I look at this challenge every week but I think this is the first time I have actually ever made an entry. grrrrrrrr!!!!

This second tag if for the Try It on Tuesday challenge and the theme is Black red and cream. This theme was set by Emma who is also offering a prize of 'Stamping Up' vouchers. Well, I'm pretty sure I am in time for this one!!

Finally, here's one I made just for the fun of it.

Monday 11 April 2011

Hi there, guys!! Well I've been here for hours trying to do things on the pc, I'm not sure if it's me getting too old to cope or just my hardware is all giving up the ghost - everything seems to be a chore these days!!

Anyhow, finally managed to get my pc and printer talking so that I could upload the photo of the April giveaway.

Not such a great photo (not sure I can entirely blame that on the camera!!) but it is quite old and vintagey looking. Basically it started off as a small mixed media piece based around an image transfer onto fabric. But then I thought it looked too small so I made a big faux wood frame to go round it so now it's a slightly larger (6" x 6" app) hanging.

Usual rules apply, to be entered in to the draw you must leave a comment on this post before 8.00 pm on Saturday 30th April. Overseas players welcome, please feel free to link from your own blogs. Hugs, Cindy

Wednesday 6 April 2011

Ooh, hope I've managed to get that fixed now. Haven't been able to post for a while. Fingers crossed.

Anyhow, I digress. The winner of the March giveaway is Karen, who I hope will contact me, I've left a message on your blog Karen. We had very few entrants last month, I'm not sure if that was because you didn'tlike the prize, I confused every one by combining it with PIF or some other reason. There will be an April giveaway uploaded at the weekend but if there aren't many players I may stop doing a monthly a giveaway and just do them occasionally.

Finally sorry I haven't been about - I have been ill (AGAIN!!) and also a few problems with blogger but hope to be back more regularly from now on.
