What's On Your Workdesk - Wednesday #567

Morning  - can't believe it is Wednesday again!!

Hope everyone had a good socially distant Easter - we spent our time in the garden and doing two family quizzes. Given our collective age we are doing quite well overall with the technological challenges we need to master to keep in touch. Individual results are however more questionable.

I spent most of Tuesday attempting to make a quick video for my crafting ladies as our craft classes are postponed indefinitely like everything else. I am trying to do one each week to keep in touch but once again, the technical challenges are a bit daunting. Today I have also been contacted about doing some for our local library service as they are setting up a Youtube channel. I said yes, but  beginning to have cold feet......

This week's project was using watercolour so here is a picture of my desk and some of the  cards I made. I am totally in love with these splodgy watercolor birds, courtesy of a video I saw by Amber K. Creative on her channel. I have an impressive array of watercolour pans - there is another set of 'repeats' and unopened ones. I have no idea why I have so many. I'm not gonna run out any time soon that's for sure. Less impressive is the fact that about 50% of the opened ones weren't in the correct pots so I have had to guess what the colours are. First world problems I guess.

Here is a close up of one of the finished cards. I shall be posting this one as my #CHEERS post later today.

Why am I telling you this? Because it's WOYW Wednesday, the day when we go for a wander around the desks of the great and the good courtesy of the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground. Pop on over and join in why don't ya?

That's all from me, stay home, stay safe, stay well. Happy desking!!

Looking forward to seeing your delightful birds on FB later today. They are lovely and bright and so cheerful they will fit right in. Make for a lot of smiles (like me now whilst typing my comment). That is one heck of a paint box - what a glorious array of colours you have there, even if you don't know the exact names of them all. Gorgeous cards!
I am sure you will be fine with the videos. I think you are used to teaching so it will be just fine and you will be surprised how quickly the time goes. I have every faith in you Cindy.
Stay safe and well

Wow, those splodgy birds are wonderful and congrats for being called up to do classes. It's always in times of crisis that we take the risk to step outside of the box. Well done. Stay safe

I have watercolour palette envy now! Whata beautiful array of colours even if they are nameless - who cares about that anyway, it makes using them more fun. The birds are really great, I may have a go at doing those, I need to make a couple of cheery cards.

Oh Cindy, I just love, love, love your little birdies! It reminded me that I really must do some more watercolour doodling as it's soooo much fun! I did some quirky birdies a while back, that you might remember. I had it in mind to do some quirky kitties too... I simply love the beautiful cards you've made from them. I love the simplicity - just a few watercolour doodles and a lovely contrasting sentiment. Anybody would love to receive such a card! You've got an impressive array of watercolour paints, I must say! Probably even more than my hubby...

Thank you for your lovely comment - I agree, my little world is here, and I'm very content to remain in it! Not that I go out a great deal anyway, unless my hubby takes me. Everything I need is here! Life is wonderful when you can be content, isn't it. So much striving goes on and I think our current situation is causing a lot of people to take stock and realise just what's important!

I'm sorry to hear about your cough problem. If you are still suffering from reflux, it should be dealt with. I had it quite badly and was suffering from a chronic cough too, and my hubby said my breathing sounded awful at night. I had my throat examined and it was quite inflamed because of the acid. There is a risk of it becoming cancerous and it really should be looked into. I know it's hard at present, but as soon as the current emergency is over, it would be a good plan to get seen if possible. I was on omeprazole for quite a long time, but when I changed my diet, things improved. I also sleep with my upper body raised by about 30 degrees (I have an orthpaedic bed but a foam wedge would do the trick too) and this prevented it happening at night, which used to be a frequent occurrence - the sudden burn of acid in my throat would wake me with a jump! It's really horrible, isn't it.

I'm amazed that I manage to achieve anything really, because I get up so late in the mornings and find it very difficult to get going because of my ME, and I have days when I can't really do anything at all! I've got my meal planning organised now, so that I don't have to cook every day, but there's the laundry and sorting the grocery deliveries and other jobs to see to, and somehow studio time gets pushed into the background! At least my little mandalas and Celtic knots can be coloured on my lap in the evenings which is nice. So far we've both escaped the lurgy and are taking as much care as possible. WhatsApping and Zooming family and friends etc. is great, and I'm certainly keeping sane! I love being at home anyway so it's no hardship. The kitties are always a great joy, and are really enjoying having my hubby around so much, too. So glad you liked the photos of them, and also my colourings!

Take care, my friend, and keep well, and happy WOYWW,
