Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW, now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.
You may have noticed I have been AWOL. Childcare was crazy in August, followed by a glorious week in Spain with lots of good food, long walks and lots of sleep. Back to the UK and my body is revolting with constant joint pain, extreme tiredness and already mildly depressed by the constant rain. I've said it before, I am allergic to the UK.
OK hive mind I need your help. Just recently I have been trying to go to bed a bit earlier, the consequence of which is that I often wake up just after 5 am. If I'm not asleep again within 20 mins I get up, stumble to my craft room and carry out some mundane task for a while until I am sleepy enough to go back to bed for an hour so. At the moment that is sorting my card and envelope shelves. For those who are interested, the green labels signifies there are enough to run a class, the red labels that there aren't.The top shelf is easy, just standard size cards and envies. But the second is a testament to watching craft tv and thinking oh that's an unusual shape/fold/design, that'll be fun to do in a class. So I have been sorting through, but one has got me completely stumped. It's a 6x6 trifold card but the centre panel is scored across the diagonal. I cannot however work out how the d**n thing folds or stands in a way that makes any sense. I only have a handful, so no biggy, but it is intriguing me. So before I cut one panel off to create a simple easel do let me have your ideas in case I'm missing something special.
In general haven't been crafting much but did do a few Halloween bits for my stall at 'Apple Day' at our little local farm the day after we got back from Spain. Great timing eh? I loved how my Witches Hat wreath turned out, the bottles not so much. Didn't sell much but it was v busy and a lovely community event.
The horizontal rain was an exciting feature for a papercraft stall under a gazebo.
Anyhoo that's me. Feels that we have given up on Summer already this year, and that particular towel is one I don't normally throw in until mid October. I'm already in fluffy pjs. My next crafty event will be a MacMillan Day in October and then it's no holds barred till Christmas though I only have one fair booked this year.
That's you all caught up. Have a great week. Looking forward to a cuddle with Splodge tomorrow, haven't seen him for two weeks.
Love n hugs, Cindy xx

Nice to see you, but with all the fun it sounds you had I bet you didn't miss us at all LOL! I think the bottles are cute, but I have to admit we never decorate for Halloween, except a ceramic pumpkin with a few knitted ones alongside. As to the card, I *think* you would make the middle valley a mountain instead, then the left side becomes the front of the card and the right side becomes the back, with the top edge rotating to be the "spine". I think. Fold it and see if it makes sense :) Happy (finally a knitting day!) WOYWW!

I’m glad you had a good break and topped up those sunshine batteries! I often wake at five but read my kindle until I drop off again. I have no idea re that folds card, it doesn’t make sense to me! That witches hat is fantastic and reminds me so much of Shaz Silverwolf 🥰
Enjoy your Splodge cuddles!
Hugs LLJ 3 xx
Sorry that you are waking so early Cindy. I listen to audio books if I wake up early (or have trouble going to sleep). Can't help with the card I am afraid - love that witches hat though! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
