Goodness it's Wednesday again!! Time for our weekly snoop around the craft desks of the world, courtesy Julia Dunnit of Stamping Ground. Pop on over to find out more and join in.
Here's my desk, kinda the calm after the storm this week. I have been making poinsetta's for this month's giveaway - just a little tease, and it's just drying off so will probably post it this evening.
My trusty circle cutter has died (well the blade snapped and I don't seem to have any spares) and the poor lollipop tree is still not finished and is now listing rather alarmingly. And for those who care, I have covered my gravy tub scissor holder. That rather funky covering started life as a sheet of kitchen roll in the bottom of my spray box.
Leave me a message and if you have a blog I'll repay the favour, whether you join in with WOYWW or not. Home today, so hopefully will get a bit of crafting done as I have two very important cards to get done, one a commission new home card (brief: polar bear, piano, opera, strong coffee, chocolate and sci fi. No problems there then.) and the other an 80th birthday card for my mum. As I'm about I hope to visit a few desks before lunchtime rather than the middle of the night as often happens!!
And finally a word of warning. This is what happens when you try to grow out your acrylic nails and then play with mica sprays.
Very attractive n'est ce pas?
Happy WOYWW!!

Oh dear inky nails! Perhaps it could be a new trend?! I've had blue fingers this week. Looks like you're busy with your Poinsettia's which reminds me I have a template for making them, hmm wonder where it is? Take care. Zo xx 82
Oh dear! I always forget to wash my hands and leave the house with paint splattered hands but I've never used mica sprays! Patsy from
HeARTworks
the inks 7 powers get everywhere. pretty flowers on your desk. Jill #61
Lol - the nails are..ermmm...well.. 'interesting'!! I was very impressed with the damage that mica sprays can do at the WOYWW crop!! JoZarty's fingers were a work of art in themselves.
And no problem with those card commissions then, lol!! I did imagine a polar bear with an opera cape and glasses reclining on a piano with a chocolatte in paw, but failed miserably to incorporate the Sci fi...damn...unless Yoda can be the waiter bearing the coffee, LOL!!
Hugs, LLJ #58 xx
ooh, pretty.. not! The flowers are good though.
Poinsettias are looking great, the nails....not so great. LOL acrylics can be interesting to work with. I was a nail tech. for 13 years and have seen it all. LOL Happy WOYWW

Great work desk and oh my you have so much to do, good luck. Annette x
PS have sent you an email Cindy, x
Lol Cindy - love the fashion statement - "beautiful" nails lol lol!! You should upload a Youtube video giving the technique!
It's a bore when equipment breaks right in the middle of a project, isn't it. Is your circle cutter a Martha Stewart one? If so, you should be able to get repalcement blades. I love your poinsettias! They look really great.
Thanks for your nice comment - I'm really enjoying working on my little art journal. The Remembrance page should be completed and a post uploaded about it in a day or two. Not doing anything on it today as I'm having a day on the recliner feeling rubbish!
Happy WOYWW,
Shoshi
The pointsettias look interesting, you have a lot going on here! Have fun! Thanks for stopping in at my space. Barb
Great looking desk! That is what I am going to do today...cut out some poinsettias with my TH die! YAY! I got rid of the acrylics a while back cause they took to popping off my fingernails. Definitely an embarrassment to reach for something and a nail go flying!!! Thanks for visiting my desk this week and thanks for sharing. Vickie #77
Love all those flowers! Your poor nails...don't we all do a job on our hands and nails at times LOL Thanks for coming my way! Sandi #37
Looks like you could start a new fashion trend with those nails! Busy desk, poinsettias look great.

Hi Cindy,
Oh, I see the makings of the wreath! Very cool. I must admit, I can't wear those acrylic nails. I tried them once and they lasted for one whole day and then I had to get them removed. I couldn't do anything with them on!
Happy WOYWW

I feel for you! I hate it when a tool breaks or I run out of blades and have to run to the store.....your poor nails!
