What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #508

Morning all. As usual for a Weds am, my desk is a bit bereft, because Tuesday after craft class is my tidy up and put it all away before starting to make a great big mess again day. (Yeah, I know I should take the photo before I begin but can't seem to get into that routine). But, as part of an attempt to gradually go through all my piles of stuff, I emptied my box of 'not used yet' stuff on to the desk and that is what you can see in the photo.

Not used yet is a fairly loose description. As you can see that little stamp set at the front has had the sentiments used, but 95% of this has not even been opened. Out of interest, I counted and there are 36 stamp sets and 9 die sets. And there is probably more around.... Please don't do the math. What I need to know is - am I the only one?

Why am I showing you my desk? Well it's Wednesday and that's when we look around the craft desks of the great and good courtesy of Julia at Stamping Ground. Pop on over and check us out.

Happy Wednesday everyone!!

Are you going to start working your way through that Never Been Used Before stash then? Seems like a good project for the rest of 2019 :-) I don't think I have that much untouched stash, apart from some Japanese fabrics I got to do Sashiko embroidery on a jacket and it just hasn't happened yet!

Oh Cindy, you are not the only one and it was a relief to see you posting this as I have a box very similar to this. I think I have curbed my spending but then I seem to spend again.
Don't worry about your desk for the photo - mine hardly changes these days but once I get this back of mine right I will be crafting with them all.

Hi Cindy, no you are not alone! Those MB dies I used a few days ago, must have had them over 5 years, and thats their first outing! Don't even ask about uninked stamps that I absolutely had to have. :) Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #6 X

You really are not the only one Cindy, I think 99.9% of crafters have the same guilty feeling regarding unused stuff. It all looks so wonderful filling us with potential when we see it but then another something comes along and before we know it we have a pile of potentials & no time to act on them hee hee!!
Thank you for today's visit, yes life does tend to get in the way (how rude of it!!) Feel free to clone that card for your Son it really does make for a quick card. Happy Birthday to him when his 25th comes around & I hope Hubby gets the all clear very soon.

Indy I really don’t think you are on your own having crafty items unused, I have stamp sets that I haven’t used yet although I have unpacked them and put them in my stamping folder, I get them out occasionally and then nothing grabs me so I put them away again.

Jan no 15 I think, I started as 25

Cindy, I think the more stuff we get, the more we forget what we have. I have things I've never used and had them years. You'll have fun using that lot.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Hi Cindy, pleased I'm not the only one with a pile of unused stash. I am hoping to do something about it this year. Have a great woyww, what's left of it and a happy creative week, Angela x14x

Hi Cindy,
nope you are totally in good company and not alone...
(my basket of unused new stash got so full before the end of the year that when I was cleaning a week or two ago I put it all away. all of it, used or not. and will wonders never cease, I have mostly hit delete on 99% of the buy me buy me emails that have come my way.
I am sure that will change if I get done sorting my old stamps but, in the mean time I have been playing with old stuff. and that is fun too.

You are definitely not the only one Cindy lol. I dread to think how many items are in my not yet used pile. I'm sure you'll get round to using them eventually. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

Hi Cindy, sorry I'm late :o) Oh blimey no you're definitely not alone, my unused stash pile is shameful, but I have now organised all the stamps and dies so I'm more likely to use them and I'm sure just getting them out and leaving them handy means you'll get around to playing with them soon. Maybe we need a new acronym for unused stuff, like Unfinished Objects are UFOs, how about Not Actually Used - NAU-ghties ...hmmmm ... :o) Anie C #19

I spot some nice things in your 'not used yet' stash so I hope you had time to use a few/lot and crafted away! Thanks for your visit earlier this week, I'm late again with my woyww-visit-round... enjoy your weekend! Hug from Holland! Marit #15

I’m late. But turns out to be a good thing because I was going to tell you that I have loads of stamp sets with only one stamp used and I was going to suggest we kept it a secret. But no need, turns out we’re all in good company again! Love your big old tidy up routine, no need to change that...or it might never be done!
