What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 581

Morning all!! Been a very quiet week craftwise as I had to ditch Christmas in favour of a few commissions that came in (all still secret so no pics) and a few birthdays of my own that I needed to get done (also still secret lol). Plus a couple of days in the garden sorting out the last of my seedlings. The week went very quickly (as usual), and the highlight was a family BBQ at my sister's for her birthday on Saturday. It's the first time since March we have all been together (basically 2 bubbles meeting up in case you are keeping track!). It was a good night, but we are a very huggy family and I missed our usual hugs as we are still trying to be good. I've been getting a few requests to meet up with friends for the odd socially distanced coffee etc over the next couple of weeks so my social life is starting to look up.

I also received some gorgeous happy mail from Debbie at 'Tattered Rocks' as I won one of her giveaways - it's the last one this week so do check it out -  there may still be time to join in!
I received this gorgeous clock which now has pride of place in my craft room. I am absolutely delighted with it - isn't it gorgeous? As some of you know I used to do a lot of giveaways - if I did something for next week would anyone be interested? (Can't guarantee it wouldn't be Christmas related ...........only joking).

Well my actual desk then, from a slightly different angle. It's hardly feng shui is it? Mountains of stuff!

The crazy Christmas pile is still over at the back, and I've been playing with a paper artsy stamp and my distress oxides - I have quite a few but for some reason I haven't used them much. Not sure why as they are really nice to work with. My trusty bug (anchored to my Tim Holtz glass mat - the only thing it sticks to for more than 5 minutes) is on show too as well as a huggies box with my card mats in. I think I must have bought a lot of baby wipes at one stage as there certainly hasn't been a baby in this house for over 20 years!! I think I may have to cover that box, heaven knows I have enough paper. Two more birthday cards to make and I really must do some 'admin' - Christmas is going to be lucky to get a look in again this week!!

Why am I telling you all this? Because it's WOYW Wednesday, the day when we go for a wander around the desks of the great and the good courtesy of the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground. Pop on over and join in why don't ya?

Have a good Wednesday. Stay home. stay well, stay safe.

Cindy x

Morning Cindy. That clock is stunning - what a beautiful gift. I have to say I just love the huggies box! Memories! The card is looking good. Hope you get everything done that needs doing this coming week - and you WILL get to the Christmas pile before too long.
Take care. God bless.

Hi Cindy
I'm glad your social life is getting back on track. It's nice to have a few coffee dates isn't it. I had one last week and although we were distanced it just felt nice to be out and to have different chat.
Your clock is beautiful, how exciting to win it.
I love your desk, so much going on. I gave up trying to stick my bug to anything, it lives on the floor now and I just pick it up when I need it, which is most of the time. It's good exercise as I have to get up to hold it down when I'm die cutting.
Have a good week

HI Cindy, that's a very busy and productive looking craft room youhave! The card you're working on looks beautiful, love that combo of colours. I have the same Cuttlebug, what a work horse isn't it, I've had miune for many years and used it so much but it is still soldiering on and I can see no reason to replace it. How exciting to have commissions, I look forward to seeing the big reveal! :) Annie C #17

Hi Cindy, lucky you that is a fabulous clock. I think we all need a bit of happy mail at the moment. Pleased to hear you've managed to see the relatives too. Have a lovely creative woyww, Angela x11x

You mean you won that clock? Wow, what a gorgeous piece of art that is, how lucky you were. I am so envious! Glad you won it though! Couldn't have gone to anyone nicer. (Mind you with all those secret makes I am not so sure, only joking - but I hope we get to see them soon, please)
It must have been wonderful to meet up like that with another bubble but so hard to keep your distance and not hug. I've not seen someone I am very fond of in ages and I don't know if I could cope without a hug when it finally happens.
Well, you certainly look just as busy as ever, hope you get through the mountain of things you have to do and come out the other side unscathed.
Stay safe and well, good luck with the telephone consultation.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

I love playing with the Oxides too - I have loads of them from when I used to sell them and I kept one of each colour I had left so I could really do with playing more! Yes to covering the box and making use of some lovely papers - not because baby bums are not cute but because of the satisfaction of using lots of stash :-) Have a fantabulous week! Lisa-Jane #1

Fantastic piece of art from that fabulous generous Debbie, bet you smile every time you look at it! Well, I’m loving that you don’t seem to have a Feng shui type desk, it makes me feel slightly less bad about the state of mine, although you are still the clear winner. Also secretly a bit glad that you’ve had to postpone Christmas for a little bit longer!! thank you, My Name is Cindy for the beautiful birthday card, a lovely surprise and totally lovely. In a pile waiting to be er, copied. this very afternoon have had a bubble combining one the garden, it was smashing, although it feels so awkward to say goodbye without arms!!
