What's On Your Workdesk, Wednesday #680 (or maybe 681??)

Morning deskers, whatever number it is this week (I seem to have 679 twice and so, I believe does our illustrious leader) they come round far too fast!!

Here's the glory that is my desk - I am about to have a quick tidy and remembered to take a pic before it was empty.

Whilst rummaging for something else I found sheets and sheets of floral die cut decoupage. Not quite my thing, so I made up the ones I liked the look of and binned the rest. I have a plan for them but haven't got there yet. Been a bit obsessed with black polka dot card from my stash.
I am still making flowers and fancy boxed cards.

Had a crafty afternoon with a friend last week. Whilst waiting for her to arrive did a quick watercolour card. The other one is the design we chose for a friend's 60th who is having a 60s themed party. That stamp is on wood and was one of the very first I bought many, many years ago!!

I'm thinking I might do it with my class this week as there is hardly any prep and I'm feeling pretty lazy!!

It's been a good week. I sorted out my 'sentiments' - I discovered I had two filing systems on the go. There must be a 1,000. Never gonna use them in this lifetime but at least they are all together now.  Order always makes me feel positive even if I find it so difficult to achieve. I've managed to clear a couple of things off my never ending to-do list - big  tick!! I am currently cat 'sitting' for my sister (I go over twice a day) and trying to walk, it's about 3 hours a day walking so good for my step count but not sure I'll be able to manage the hot day that's forecast!! BBQ on Sunday for father's day and went into town with DD yesterday to see 'Moulin Rouge' which we thoroughly enjoyed. She's working from home today (Tues) due to strikes and just heard her on a zoom meeting discussing M&S Christmas. Eeeek!!

I have to choose an outfit for Windsor races on Saturday and also prepping to be away for a garden tour next week - won't be desking as we will be travelling. Never a dull moment.

So, why am I showing you my desk? Well it's our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop - WOYWW. Here's the link to the one responsible, the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and have a go yourself.

Stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx

What's On your Workdesk? Wednesday #679

Goodness, how these weeks fly! I know there will be grumbles about the temperature by the weekend but for me, two consecutive days of blue skies have lifted my spirits exponentially - long may it continue in my book!!

Here's the desk - I have just  caught it in mid tidy so not v interesting, but I have been making boxed cards this week - more later!

First a few more of those mainly white with a splash of colour cards. Some of them are a bit random, but I am really just using up bits and making stock, not for anyone IRL.

My preferred way of working I have discovered.

Ages ago someone gifted me a whole bundle of pretty brads, one of which were these pretty 'acrylic' roses - sadly they are really a bit too bulky to use on an envelope-destined card.   Filled with an inexplicable urge to use some of them up, I decided to make some boxed cards for sale and use them as centres for larger flowers.

Every year in advance of my three main card selling events (a local fair, Macmillan, and the farm at Christmas) I say I will take some 'special' cards with me. But I never get around to making them. So while I had this need to used up those brads I thought I would start early. This is what I have done so far. (Bit OTT for using up a bit of stash maybe?)

Well that's me for this week, sorry for the long post but it's nice to have something creative to share. I have visitors today so probably won't be round till this evening or tomorrow, but have a lovely Wednesday. Keep cool!!

Happy WOYWW!! Cindy

What's On Your Workdesk wednesday? #679

Morning all deskers!! Quick post today, feeling a bit better after a few days tummy troubles but I am so behind with housework it's gonna be a busy day. Well that's the plan but I may have already peaked.

Here's the desk.

I still haven't used the bgs I made when on holiday and not feeling very creative today - but there are always kits to be made up into cards. Now that card classes have re-commenced the unused kits are starting to build up again - there's always someone who doesn't turn up and I always have a spare in case disaster strikes so you can see how that can happen. You can see three samples I made at a recent class on the right of the desk. I have four more 'sets' and a mountain of die cuts so to get those finished shouldn't take long and I'll be happy if I achieve that today.

Have a wonderful week.

What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #678

Hello there, a bit late on parade but the story of my life these days.

Here's my desk:

Bit of a state, I have just unpacked my craft bag from a week in the country with my sister. Took loads of stuff with me but a) wasn't in the mood, b) forgot half the stuff I needed and took things I didn't, c) flaky wi-fi meant trying to watch the tutorial I had earmarked to do was torture so gave up on that idea.

The biggest success was a new stamp and die set - the large daisies you can see on the table. I didn't take a stamping platform or an acrylic block though so these were stamped by placing on top of inked stamp and pressing down with the ink pad. Oh, and the black inkpad I took was from 2018. Not very inky any more.

I have no idea why I am so disorganised, it is certainly getting worse! I have though managed to switch out my WOYWW display for this year's anniversary ATCs - belated 'Thank You' to everyone who took time to swap with me. Now to put last year's in the scrapbook.

Do you have any Jubilee plans? We are having a gathering with our neighbours on Friday, we are lucky because we have a little cul de sac here so it's quite nice to get together. I thought I'd take the opportunity yesterday to get a special manicure.
