What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday #678

Hello there, a bit late on parade but the story of my life these days.

Here's my desk:

Bit of a state, I have just unpacked my craft bag from a week in the country with my sister. Took loads of stuff with me but a) wasn't in the mood, b) forgot half the stuff I needed and took things I didn't, c) flaky wi-fi meant trying to watch the tutorial I had earmarked to do was torture so gave up on that idea.

The biggest success was a new stamp and die set - the large daisies you can see on the table. I didn't take a stamping platform or an acrylic block though so these were stamped by placing on top of inked stamp and pressing down with the ink pad. Oh, and the black inkpad I took was from 2018. Not very inky any more.

I have no idea why I am so disorganised, it is certainly getting worse! I have though managed to switch out my WOYWW display for this year's anniversary ATCs - belated 'Thank You' to everyone who took time to swap with me. Now to put last year's in the scrapbook.

Do you have any Jubilee plans? We are having a gathering with our neighbours on Friday, we are lucky because we have a little cul de sac here so it's quite nice to get together. I thought I'd take the opportunity yesterday to get a special manicure.

So, why am I showing you my desk? Well it's our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop - WOYWW. Here's the link to the one responsible, the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and have a go yourself.

Have a wonderful week.

I had to smile about you forgetting things and not being in the mood either. That sounds so like me. Fabulous job on the nails! Happy WOYWW. Angela #2

Oh dear, on seeing your lovely nails I looked at mine - dreadful! I knocked two off opening a drawer a week or so ago. the friend who invited us to her cul de sac party is a nail technician so I expect big things from hers.
Your holiday stamping sounds very much like mine, I do all the same things as you mention - I am even worse as I have a mini workroom (small bedroom) already there. It's my age! (Not that I have anything to do with the wi-fi, it's just flaky unless we pay £500+ for a box in our caravan.)
Love how you keep your atc's for the year, sadly mine go in the folder after a week.
Have a lovely long weekend, stay safe and enjoy yourself.
Hugs, Neet 1 (only 'cos i got up at that time as per usual - age again)

In answer to your question on my blog:-
It depends on the class as to how I do it. This one is starting with a shadow box card so I will demonstrate that at the very beginning and then get them to go and do the scoring and folding. Once they have the box and the wings (doors) they can start to decorate. I reckon then it will be lunchtime as they take ages to settle when they arrive. Obviously I will hover to help out if they get the folding wrong.
After lunch, regardless of where they are with the shadow box I will demonstrate the other cards and then, hopefully, they can follow the instructions (took me ages and hopefully are very comprehensive).
If anyone finishes I will show them the other card and they can try it out. If not will save it for another time.
Hugs, Neet xx

Love the fingernails - just realised from your post that I didn't receive my SWAP from Julia, such a shame the houses are so cute. Have a fun weekend BJ#12

Hi Cindy, loving the nails they look great. I know you don't think it's funny but your trip away taking all the wrong things is something I often do. I tend to take half the stuff I need and can't use them because I've not got the right tools so I shouldn't worry you're not the only one that does it. Have a lovely woyww and a creative week too. I must admit I have given up on taking anything other than colouring away with my these days Cindy for the same reasons as you. You can guarentee to have forgotten something essential if you have a project in mind. Love the nails. Enjoy the street party. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #9
