Morning deskers, welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop WOYWW, now being hosted on Sarah Brennan's blog. Here's the link for that lovely lady - Sarah's Craft Shed - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.
Such a busy week though I can't tell you what I did!
Sunday was the highlight - my DiL managed to complete the Marathon in just under 6 hours - she took it fairly easy so as not to aggravate her injury and she did brilliantly. It seemed like hubby and I were racing all over London all day but the only time we managed to get to the front and catch up with her was around mile 23 - we were so glad we were able to do that!! She's still recovering but in high spirits despite the aches and pains!!
Was going to take a photo of my Tuesday craft club desk but forgot but here is what I managed to achieve this week, all from my scrap box!! Apart from these, my actual desk is empty again, with just the samples for Friday's craft class that need finishing off with a sentiment. The 'technique' this month is embossing with a stencil.
Hubby is on his way to Helsinki for the Mayday celebrations and seriously miffed that he might miss out on some nice weather while he is away.
Some people are just never satisfied!!
Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx

Well done to your DIL what an achievement. Enjoy your crafting and the sunshine.😃x x Jo 🌈
Well done her. Sensible to not run flat out and re-injure that knee. The cards are lovely indeed, and the samples for the club are full of circles! You know the are my faves so I love the card. Seems like the best day will be tomorrow then Alexa tells me a cooler, wetter weekend. Maybe just where I am? who knows, but Helsinki sounds better.
Feel free to edit that to add
Off to knitting but Happy WOYWW!

Oh well done that DiL, that’s a great time especially when you’ve been laid up beforehand! I love the bits you’ve made from your stash, that’s such a good feeling. But my main question is why is your husband going to Helsinki? Does he have Finnish relations or family? And what form do the May celebrations take? I’m going to have to look that up now!

Your dil did well - and was sensible too. She looks quite good after all that running. Bet you were ever so proud of her.
Helsinki - now that is different, but I would sooner be here in the sunshine. Hope he has a good time.

Well done to your DIL, it looked like a warm day. I can just imagine you running round trying to catch up with her, it's an interested thought! Happy woyww, Angela x11x

I empathise with your DH, although Helsinki will be fun, the weather here is a bit glorious!! Your Daughter in Law is amazing, what an achievement, I'm so super impressed by her effort. I was at craft club this morning but don't dare take my scraps, they do not speak to me like yours do for you, I can't produce such nice cards from them!
An amazing achievement by your DiL Cindy. Glad you were there to cheer her on. I haven't used embossing folders for ages - those cards look great! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
Hello Cindy, Your DIL did incredibly well considering she had a foot injury. Such an achievement and how nice for you to be there to support her too. Your selection of cards are lovely. I gave up making cards a few years ago when life got difficult and time was short. So I haven't used any of the embossing folders I have stashed away, most likely in a box in the shed. I'll probably pass them on to a crafter I know who's just starting out. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Elizabeth x #14
Fair play on DIL, cant even begin to imagine doing that, what an achievement. Hope hubby had a good time and love that you have sown some sunflowers with Little Splodge, its amazing watching the plants grow and develop.
