What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 714

Good Morning All!! Welcome to our weekly Wednesday Blog Hop - WOYWW. Here's the link to the one responsible, the lovely Julia at Stamping Ground - pop on over and join in, see what it's all about and join in yourself.

Hope all is well with you. Finally got my new glasses so I can actually see again and should be able to get round today. Shoulder is also improving, still restricted movement but it doesn't hurt all the time. Here's my desk.

I'm in the middle of a commission which fortunately came together quite quickly as I'm about to call time on new orders whilst we await our new arrival. DD will be 36 weeks pregnant on Friday. Still no sign of a house exchange date, never mind moving in, if we haven't heard by Friday we will have to think about putting Plan B in motion. (Can anyone tell me what Plan B is?)

It's all baby, baby, baby here so be prepared as I shall probably be very boring for the next couple of months. We had 2 (yes 2) baby showers here at the weekend as we couldn't fit everyone in at one sitting. The resultant haul is now being stored in my craft room so there is nowhere to get away from it. Expecting the pram and car seat to arrive this week.

And the GP chooses now to ask for a blood pressure reading......

Anyway a couple of Baby Shower pics. My niece made a beautiful cake.

I have been carrying on with my Christmas card making (still just using up bits) when I've had the odd minute and also managed a gardening card for hubby.

Also managed a craft class, we made this fun fold card. It was a bit of a challenge wearing glasses I couldn't see with!!

Enjoyed going to see Mamma Mia with my sister and am very excited to be going to see '& Juliet' on Friday with a group of girlfriends with a meal out after. No discernible social life planned after that as we hunker down and wait. See, told you I would be going on about it.

So that's it from me, sorry about the long post.

Happy WOYWW, love n hugs Cindyxx

Oh I’m so excited for you! A new addition to the family, how marvellous, you’ll be an awesome granny. Your daughter is looking amazing considering she’s 36 weeks, when I was at that stage, I blocked out the sun when I turned sideways!!! Glad the new glasses are helping, I’ve got a new pair on order and am going to try soft lenses too and taking out a second mortgage to cover the cost!
Hugs LLJ 5 xx

Exciting times ahead! You're forgiven any baby talk whatsoever . . . and glasses you can see with, reckon they're just in time!!

Have a good week, deep breaths before you see the doc.

Hi Cindy, I love the films Mamma Mia and can watch them again and again. We went to see an Abba tribute act recently, that was good too. Love your latest Christmas cards, the numbers are going up now. How many do you usually make? Enjoy your shows. Happy WOYWW. Angela #10

Hi Cindy, can't say I blame you being so excited over the imminent birth ... a new grandchild is reason to be thrilled! I speak from experience - 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren at the last count. Everyone a joy. Your cards are brilliant! I've given up making cards, and sewing, knitting and crochet, because of inflammatory arthritis but I refuse to give up making scrap pages completely. I hope your shoulder continues to improve. Have a lovely week. Elizabeth x #15

How exciting! I'm sure everything will work out as it should, and you get to be a Grandma!! My DD missed out on a proper baby shower, but she did have one on zoom...not quite the same. The cake is awesome, so cute! Glad you can see now and that your shoulder is feeling better. I LOVE your Christmas card angels, beautiful! Enjoy your shows, sounds like a wonderful time! Lindart #16

The cake is fabulous - and the balloons are too, along with mum and dad to be. Fingers crossed for everything to start running smoothly and grandee to come into the world on time.
Fab cards as always, and so well ahead for next Christmas. I have "C" envy now.
Glad your shoulder is improving, wish my neck was, I was a wreck yesterday and not the best of company when out. Struggling like mad today.
Hugs, Neet 6 xx

I loved the card you sent me at Xmas and so sorry if I neglected to actually thank you for it. I feel like I did, but then I sometimes think maybe I didn't. Poor showing, like so much from me recently. Love the cake, super cute, and those cards are stunning. You are an inspiration for getting stuff done. Why oh WHY can't I follow your lead? DOH!
Best intentions, total fail!

Oh my seriously late this week - every time I sat down to the PC to do my replies something cropped up and life ran away from me...Can I just put it out there ***I LOVE BABIES*** the smaller the better, how exciting love the cake can't wait for all the baby pictures wish I was close enough for a cuddle. Know what you mean about the glasses, my occupational bifocals have stronger closeup parts so better than my others for crafting. Day to day bifocals will be updated this year, think I've had them nearly 4 years now.
